Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver an asset survey programme across selected VIVO-managed sites by identifying assets, verifying locations, and updating records with accurate information.
  • •Personally undertake the more complex surveys where technical judgement is required and asset information is unclear or incomplete.
  • •Supervise and support less experienced surveyors by allocating tasks, providing direction, and checking the quality of their work.
  • •Monitor progress against the survey programme, maintain the Asset Management team informed of delivery, risks, access challenges, and issues requiring intervention.
  • •Ensure collected information is accurate, consistent, and usable by challenging incomplete/duplicated/inaccurate records and supporting improved survey templates and quality assurance processes.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant practical experience inspecting, identifying, and validating assets across complex operational sites.
  • •Experience leading or supervising survey activity, and a strong attention to detail to spot discrepancies and inconsistencies in records.
  • •A recognised technical/engineering/building services/facilities management/asset management qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience (HNC/HND/degree advantageous).
  • •Experience working in Defence/Government/infrastructure/regulated estates, and exposure to asset tagging, asset hierarchies, data assurance, or improving asset information (beneficial).
  • •Comfort travelling regularly across the UK Defence estate, working in operational environments with safety focus, and communicating clearly with surveyors, site teams, and customers.
