Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in adjusting mix composition to keep asphalt mix within specifications.

Key Requirements

  • •High School diploma or equal skill level.
  • •Ability to perform standardized laboratory tests in accordance with ASTM and AASHTO standards and understand basic asphalt plant operating procedures.
  • •Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to safety, the environment, and transportation; ability to detect hazards and malfunctions.
  • •Ability to obtain Level 2 and/or 3 ODOT Testing Certifications within a reasonable amount of time.
  • •Ability to read English sufficiently to understand specifications, reports, manuals, and regulations.
