Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead deal origination across MENA and Sub-Saharan Africa, building and maintaining a pipeline across infrastructure sectors including ports, airports, power generation, oil and gas, refinery, water, agriculture, real estate, mining, and pipelines.
  • •Develop and execute regional business development strategy through direct engagement with governments, asset owners/operators, strategic partners, and project developers.
  • •Drive opportunity assessment and preparation by qualifying opportunities, conducting market research, and producing investment committee memoranda outlining proposed structures.
  • •Lead commercial negotiations of term sheets and transaction arrangements, coordinating inputs across legal, technical, financial, tax, regulatory, sanctions, and integrity diligence.
  • •Partner with sector teams on stage-gate capital project maturation, governance templates, cost estimation progression (Class 4 to Class 1), bankability frameworks, and project documentation systems; generate reports and serve as interface to the investment committee.

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years of professional experience in infrastructure investment or project development, including at least 10 years in a senior business development/deal origination/investment role focused on infrastructure, private equity, or project finance.
  • •Proven track record originating and closing major infrastructure deals exceeding USD 100 million in transaction value across MENA/Africa/emerging markets.
  • •Demonstrated experience with PPPs, concessions, and complex multi-stakeholder negotiations across sectors such as energy, mining, ports, airports, water, agriculture, or transportation infrastructure.
  • •Fluency in English is required; Arabic capability is a significant advantage.
  • •Ability to guide opportunity assessment through investment committee-ready materials and support negotiation, diligence inputs, transaction structuring, and deal closing processes.
