Key Responsibilities

•Provide independent Second Line oversight of credit risk across Brazil as established by Mastercard in accordance with Regulation 522
•Oversee Brazil Credit Risk Assessment framework, credit stress testing, back-testing, and controls, and monitor model performance
•Own local standards for rating methodologies and Expected Loss; approve material policy exceptions and align with global Credit policy, standards, guidance and local regulations
•Provide oversight of portfolio performance, concentrations, and emerging risks; ensure timely escalation of material risk deterioration; review and approve customer unwriting proposed by the first line of defense
•Act as the senior Credit Risk representative for Brazil with local regulators and risk committees; lead engagements during regulatory reviews, examinations, and audits; partner with senior stakeholders across Business, Finance, Compliance, and Risk

Key Requirements

•12–18+ years in banking, payments, fintech, risk management
•Advanced credit risk management expertise across financial institutions and/or corporate portfolios
•Strong knowledge of credit risk rating systems, model governance, and control frameworks
•Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills
•Ability to balance growth and risk; leadership experience in regulated financial institutions
