Key Responsibilities

  • •Install and configure IT systems (Linux, Windows, virtualization, containers, software) and security products (firewalls, SIEM, PKI) according to architecture requirements.
  • •Harden systems and applications against attacks using established security standards such as BSI Grundschutz or CIS Benchmarks.
  • •Support development and maintenance of automation scripts (e.g., Ansible, Helm scripts) to make installations and configurations reproducible and efficient.
  • •Monitor system operational readiness, analyze incidents, and resolve faults independently.
  • •Ensure changes and configurations are fully documented to support certification audits (e.g., BSI).

Key Requirements

  • •Completed degree (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) in IT, Cyber Security, or a related technical field, plus initial work experience, or multi-year vocational training as Fachinformatiker (Systemintegration) or comparable education.
  • •Solid administration knowledge of Linux and/or Microsoft client/server systems.
  • •Experience with virtualization (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V) and knowledge of containers (Docker/Podman) and Kubernetes.
  • •Experience with PowerShell and Bash/Shell scripts, and Ansible and/or Helm scripts.
  • •Network technology experience (TCP/IP, routing and switching, firewalls).
