Job Summary

Lead a ~5–8 engineer team responsible for GoFundMe’s Integrations Platform. Drive the integrations roadmap for Public APIs, Webhooks, Salesforce integrations, and partner solutions, balancing reliability, technical debt, and new capabilities. Operate as a player-coach across architecture reviews, migrations to next-gen systems, and correctness-critical operations (SLOs, on-call, incident response). Partner with Product, Design, Customer Success, and external tech partners to deliver seamless integration experiences.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead, grow, and support a team of ~5–8 engineers building and operating the Integrations Platform.
•Own delivery and execution of the integrations roadmap, balancing partner needs, new platform capabilities, reliability work, and technical debt.
•Operate as a player-coach: stay hands-on in architecture reviews, technical proposals, and design documents, and prototype when it adds leverage.
•Recruit, hire, and onboard engineers, and develop them through 1:1s, actionable feedback, growth plans, and performance management.
•Drive operational excellence for correctness-critical systems, including on-call practices, SLO-based monitoring, incident response, and blameless retrospectives.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 219,000 - 329,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Experience leading and growing software engineering teams as a people manager, with a strong hands-on engineering background as an IC.
•Engage deeply in backend, distributed, and event-driven system design and architecture, and coach engineers on technical decisions.
•Familiarity with integration platform technologies, including TypeScript/Node.js, APIs and webhooks, message-driven architectures, and AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, ECS, and API Gateway.
•A track record of recruiting, hiring, developing, and retaining strong engineers and building healthy teams.
•Proven ability to deliver complex platform or backend projects while managing scope, risk, and stakeholders across teams.
