Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform composite bodywork—sanding, filling, fairing, and contouring—to achieve aerodynamic and signature-compliant profiles.
  • •Apply and finish gap/seam sealants and fillers to maintain LO surface continuity across interfaces, fasteners, and structural joints.
  • •Fit, trim, and install composite panels and LO-critical fairings to engineering tolerances for flush fits and minimal step/gap.
  • •Support LO paint operations with masking layouts, material handling, booth setup, wet-edge assistance, panel rotation/positioning, and environmental monitoring.
  • •Prepare composite surfaces for LO coatings and perform localized primer/LO coating touch-ups in tight access areas while maintaining rework/inspection documentation and material traceability.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 35 - 53 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED.
  • •Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience fabricating, repairing, bonding, surface finishing, or assembling composite/metal structures in aerospace, automotive, and/or composite production.
  • •Proficiency in composite sanding, filling, and contouring to specified aerodynamic and signature-compliant surface profiles.
  • •Experience with filler/sealant systems (mixing, trowel/squeegee/caulk-gun/spatula application, and finishing).
  • •Ability to read engineering drawings and MIL-spec/process documents and perform precision measurements (e.g., calipers/micrometers/contour gauges).
