Job Summary

Support a satellite mission engineering team in a 24/7 operations environment, building daily operations plans using complex software and hardware systems for command and control. Apply and maintain procedure knowledge, document and mitigate system anomalies, and contribute to testing, readiness, training, and ground software delivery implementation. Lead mission interactions, crosstrain across operator roles in a small team, and periodically travel to coordinate with personnel at sites and factories.

Key Responsibilities

•Create and/or implement a daily operations plan using complex software and hardware systems for command and control tasks.
•Select and apply correct procedures from a formal procedures repository and maintain required technical knowledge.
•Obtain/apply technical knowledge on various hardware subsystems and document discrepancies as they occur.
•Implement workarounds and contingency plans to minimize impacts from system anomalies.
•Contribute to testing, readiness, training, and implementation of new ground software deliveries, including crosstraining and supporting mission initialization; lead mission interactions.
•Work program priorities to implement process improvements relevant to the mission supported; periodically travel to coordinate with personnel from various sites and factories.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and a minimum of 5 years of prior related engineering experience (or equivalent experience).
•Active and transferable TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance is required prior to start date; U.S. citizenship is required.
•Experience with training and certification in an operational position.
•Ability to operate in a 24/7 environment with overtime and non-scheduled call-in availability.
•Knowledge and application of formal procedures to select the correct procedure(s) for specific scenarios.
