Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the architecture, scale, and reliability of Chainguard’s shared malware scanning platform across artifact types.
  • •Build detection-quality measurement (pipelines, metrics, dashboards) and tighten the feedback loop with Product Security.
  • •Design scan orchestration, verdict storage, and APIs powering consuming products, including throughput/latency/cost tradeoffs.
  • •Develop and productionize threat detection analysis (static analysis plus AI-assisted reasoning) across releases and ecosystems.
  • •Operate the scanner in the customer critical path with alerting, queue health, verdict-before-serve guarantees, and incident response.
