Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

•Lead platform security initiatives from design to operationalization, including requirements, technical design, code reviews, deployment, and documentation
•Embed security into the platform by default with guardrails, policy-as-code, and well-documented patterns to make the secure path the easy path for engineers
•Champion a security-first mindset within Engineering to set security posture across platform infrastructure (supply chain hardening, secrets management, IAM/IRSA, container image integrity, vulnerability remediation) across AWS/EKS
•Design and build automation to translate HITRUST controls into automated tests and outputs that feed compliance tooling (Vanta)
•Contribute hands-on to the broader platform (CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, observability, developer tooling) and participate in on-call rotations, owning the systems you build

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 190,000 - 199,000 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years in cloud-native infrastructure or platform engineering roles with demonstrated progression in technical scope and leadership
•Hands-on expertise with AWS and Kubernetes (EKS) in production environments
•Security depth including supply chain risk, IAM/zero-trust, secrets management, and vulnerability management at platform level
•Experience translating compliance frameworks (HITRUST, SOC 2, or equivalent) into engineering controls; bonus for Vanta experience
•Fluency in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/HCL) and at least one scripting language (Python, Go, or TypeScript)
