Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain, repair, rebuild, and adjust ammonia refrigeration systems and related equipment.
  • •Analyze, calibrate, replace, repair, and rebuild equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • •Comply with company safety policies and participate in the Process Safety Management (PSM) team, including respirator fit testing.
  • •Perform routine rounds and inspections across the ammonia refrigeration system and safely isolate and pump down system sections.
  • •Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls, perform routine maintenance on ammonia compressors, and keep engine rooms, compressor rooms, and roof areas clean and organized.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent.
  • •2-4 years of experience in ammonia or Freon refrigeration, boiler operations, and/or compressed air systems preferred.
  • •Clear understanding of refrigerant expansion and pressure-temperature relationships.
  • •Ability to direct and train operators.
  • •Must pass CARO and/or CIRO operator certifications, or be willing to obtain certification.
