Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws while transporting loads safely and on time along required routes.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas, following loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading and unloading using specialized equipment as warranted, including returning equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain required shipping paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other documentation) and deliver documentation to the shipping office after route completion.
  • •Facilitate routine truck service (e.g., checking oil, water, gasoline, and air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) appropriate for the vehicle to be operated (or a chauffeur’s license depending on state).
  • •Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations, and pass a DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs).
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.
  • •Must be able to remain focused in a busy environment and speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Physical ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds and to sit for prolonged periods in a trailer cab; may be required to be clean shaven depending on customer requirements.
