Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections with follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment systems including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Use test instruments and road tests to inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to identify malfunctions.
  • •Manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including safety checks and periodic reconciliation.
  • •Document work findings and upload photos/parts information on Repair Orders (ROs), accurately complete DOT forms, and comply with OSHA, EPA, and DOT safety regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or equivalent combination such as 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform the required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current DOT medical card with more than four months remaining).
  • •Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license, maintaining a Driver Qualification File.
