Key Responsibilities

  • •Develops, organizes, and conducts training and educational programs for Fleet sailors at ATRC in Dahlgren, VA.
  • •Instructs traditional classroom and tactical lab training and serves as Expert Instructor for Aegis training.
  • •Provides SME in curriculum development for ATRC courses supporting operational employment of Aegis Combat System.
  • •Reviews Navy doctrine and capabilities to optimize doctrine execution for ships and aircraft in tactical environments.
  • •Documents training with detailed assessments and generates formal reports of learning outcomes and proficiency.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, training, or military experience.
  • •Seven (7) years of related experience in a master level training environment.
  • •Experience as a qualified TAO or Combat System Coordinator on an Aegis warship is required.
  • •One (1) year of instructor experience in a Navy Training Environment, including curriculum maintenance and evaluation.
  • •Experience as AWCC or Master/Afloat Training Specialist is a plus and Surface Warfare Tactics Instructor AQD is highly preferred.
