Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare simple meals and ancillary items for service under the direction of the Chef.
  • •Wash dishes by hand or using the dishwasher and store clean items safely.
  • •Sweep and mop kitchen floors to keep them free from grease or spillages.
  • •Wash work tables, walls, equipment and appliances according to cleaning schedules.
  • •Adhere to Food Safety and Health & Safety policies and maintain HACCP records.

Key Requirements

  • •Ideally in possession of an up-to-date CIEH Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent) and prior experience in a catering department or kitchen.
  • •Experience working in a care environment and managing stock is beneficial.
  • •Ability to prepare simple meals and work effectively in a team or independently.
  • •Understanding of Health and Safety and maintaining a clean, safe, hygienic environment.
  • •Organised and adaptable with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
