Adhere to health, safety, environment, and quality requirements while performing planned and preventive electrical maintenance for overhead cranes and related components. Troubleshoot complex control circuit systems, complete work orders to OEM standards, and keep customer relations strong through regular communication. Prepare accurate service and repair reports, support safe and environmentally sound work behaviors, and perform standby or overtime as required in a mining/heavy-equipment environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform planned electrical maintenance per OEM standards and complete work orders.
•Conduct preventive maintenance on overhead crane electrical components including VSDs, PLCs, instrumentation, and cabling.
•Maintain customer relations through frequent communication.
•Prepare accurate service and repair reports in a timely manner.
•Comply with safe working standards and environmentally sound behaviors; perform other duties as instructed by the Supervisor.

Key Requirements

•Full Grade 12 certificate.
•Craft Certificate/Diploma in Automotive Engineering with a specialization in Auto-Electricity.
•Valid driver’s license.
•Knowledge of Basic First Aid and Basic Health and Safety.
•At least 5 years’ experience as a qualified industrial electrician, preferably in the mining environment with maintenance of diesel propelled equipment/drills.
