Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, manage and review mechanical design for wastewater and water infrastructure/treatment projects, including site survey support and liaison with clients, contractors and suppliers.
  • •Design pumping station systems, perform headloss calculations and pumping system analysis, select pumps, and develop designs for screens, grit removal plant, penstocks, valves, odour control systems, and plant/pipework layouts.
  • •Produce and manage technical specifications and reports, including Wimes datasheets, valve/equipment schedules, lifting strategies and P&IDs.
  • •Deliver across feasibility, outline, detail, and construction design stages while ensuring compliance with national and international design standards.
  • •Support bids and proposals, review/verify client deliverables, collaborate with other disciplines nationwide, and act as a technical mentor to junior staff.

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive experience delivering large-scale water engineering projects with mechanical design responsibilities and multi-disciplinary knowledge.
  • •BEng or MEng in a related engineering field, with experience in water and wastewater treatment.
  • •Chartered Member of a relevant Professional Institution.
  • •Proven experience leading teams, mentoring, and line management, including delegating tasks and providing technical mentoring.
  • •Strong collaboration and coordination skills with clients and stakeholders throughout project stages.
