Key Responsibilities

  • •Work on full lifecycle development for flight software, ground test software, and ground station software across embedded and application levels.
  • •Architect and design reusable flight, ground, and payload systems that translate mission requirements into efficient, ultra-reusable software products.
  • •Apply modern space-flight software standards (e.g., fault detection/recovery, error checking, and data redundancy) to build high-reliability, high-manufacturability systems.
  • •Lead the software engineering team in establishing internal guidelines and best practices for space-flight software design, test, manufacture, and operations.
  • •Drive development, integration, and test activities to meet schedules while operating as a peer resource during technical roadblocks.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, or a related technical field.
  • •10+ years of software engineering experience developing embedded, host, and product-specific software.
  • •3+ years leading a software engineering team working on small spacecraft.
  • •Experience developing subsystem requirements/interfaces and software architectures to meet mission needs with reusable software.
  • •Experience writing embedded C code and implementing algorithms with limited computational/storage resources, plus host-level GUI/database/protocol interface development.
