Join Avanade's Managed Services to secure complex ICT environments in Azure. As a Cloud Security Support Engineer, you will apply your Azure, Defender, and Sentinel expertise to monitor, respond to incidents, and advise on governance. You’ll work with government-standard frameworks (ISM, NIST CSF2.0, Essential 8 ML2), coordinate vulnerability reviews, and partner with clients to strengthen security posture across Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide Azure cloud security support across client environments, including monitoring, incident response, and remediation.
•Review security vulnerabilities and coordinate patching and mitigations with clients.
•Manage security infrastructure components (firewalls, SIEMs, log management, WAFs, endpoint protection) and ensure logging/monitoring.
•Collaborate with Managed Services teams to maintain compliance with ISM, NIST CSF2.0, and Essential 8 ML2.
•Advise on security best practices and help evolve security platforms for continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

•Strong background in Microsoft Azure platform support and cloud security operations.
•Experience with Defender suite, Azure Security Center, and Sentinel SIEM.
•Familiarity with Australian Government information assurance requirements (ISM, NIST CSF2.0, Essential 8 ML2).
•Hands-on incident response, threat hunting, and log management in complex ICT environments.
•Ability to communicate security issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders and work within ITIL governance.
