Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose malfunctions and perform minor and follow-up repairs across electrical/brake/cooling systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and related components.
  • •Inspect, test, and evaluate defective equipment using tools and test instruments; road test vehicles to confirm proper operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and service truck equipment, including safety checks and periodic reconciliation.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair order documentation, upload work photos using a company-issued iOS device and proprietary TRAIT application, and coordinate approvals via email or phone.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination including other degrees/certifications).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Be able to successfully complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and a DOT physical.
  • •Maintain a current and valid DOT medical card; must be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license.
