Job Summary

Establish and grow the data science function from scratch inside a PI venture. Own the evidence layer end to end—turning product and customer signals into defensible knowledge for client outcomes. Set standards for rigor, build instrumentation, pipelines, dashboards, and analytics infrastructure, and run cohort and funnel experiments. Partner with Product, GTM, and Behavioral Science to shape strategy and scale practices as the venture grows.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the venture’s evidence layer end to end, turning product and customer signals into defensible knowledge about what drives client outcomes.
•Set the standard for rigor by defining experimental methods, analytical practices, and whether results are real, generalizable, and safe to build on.
•Build the foundation from scratch, standing up instrumentation, data pipelines, dashboards, and analytics infrastructure.
•Identify what drives outcomes by correlating product signals to client results and separating real impact from demo effects.
•Design and run cohort and funnel experiments, building feedback loops that compound the venture’s advantage over time.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 125,000 - 145,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Substantial senior-level experience as a data scientist in product environments, with strong defensible opinions and good judgment on when to break your own rules.
•Proven track record building product analytics from scratch and owning it end to end, including standing up instrumentation, pipelines, and dashboards.
•Deep expertise running product experiments with statistical rigor to determine when results are real vs. noise, and to explain methodology to non-quantitative stakeholders.
•Ability to operate as the sole subject matter expert, setting direction without a senior peer checking your work and earning others’ trust.
•Graduate degree (or equivalent applied experience) in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Econometrics, Quantitative Psychology, or a closely related quantitative field.
