Job Summary

Supervise and support the installation, commissioning, diagnosis, repair, and startup of commercial HVAC systems. Plan and complete assigned projects on time and within budget, interpret construction drawings, and coordinate with other trades. Conduct site surveys and modifications, provide customer training and technical support, maintain inventory and equipment, document job activity and costs, and ensure safety and quality while leading technicians and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

•Install, commission, diagnose, repair, and start up HVAC systems using air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, air distribution, controls, and mechanical layouts.
•Plan, analyze, and ensure timely completion of assigned projects and activities while complying with internal contracting processes.
•Interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications; mount, hang, fit, and install equipment and systems.
•Prepare for on-site installation by reviewing building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating with other trades; perform site surveys and modifications/start-up.
•Supervise installation technicians, subcontractors, and vendors; ensure safety and quality; provide training and technical support and maintain customer satisfaction through corrective action; document work and cost data.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma (or equivalent) and typically 2-5 years of experience in commercial HVAC installation; technical school/formal training preferred.
•Must have a valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with no major or frequent violations in the previous 3 years.
•Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with handheld computers (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
•Preferred: state contractor licenses (e.g., HVAC journeyman, boiler operator, gas installer).
•Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as required.
