Job Summary

Maintain and repair production machinery and mechanical equipment used to produce PET containers, ensuring safe, efficient operation. Perform projects, repairs, mold changes, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment improvements to increase reliability and productivity. Maintain cleanliness and proper stock of spare parts and tools, support PM program updates, and assist/training production staff on machine conversions and maintenance activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain production machinery and mechanical equipment supporting PET container production to ensure efficient operation.
•Accountable for projects, repairs/improvements, mold changes, and preventative maintenance on the line and related equipment.
•Analyze and resolve equipment issues; recommend, plan, repair, modify, and fabricate elements impacting productivity.
•Ensure safe operational conditions, cleanliness of equipment/areas after repairs or PMs, and compliance with GMP procedures.
•Assist maintenance and production teams with machine conversions and PMs, keep spare parts/tools/areas organized, and perform required shift maintenance checks.

Key Requirements

•Associates degree or equivalent, or five years of related experience and/or training.
•Provincial/industrial mechanic certification.
•Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, with basic knowledge of electricity and control.
•Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
•Ability to work safely in a fast-paced, high-output manufacturing environment, including extended standing/walking and occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
