Job Summary

Join the Data Product team as a Senior Data Engineer to design and build mission-critical data services that analyze blockchain activity at petabyte scale. You will architect scalable data models, enable sub-second query latency across dozens of blockchains, collaborate with data scientists and product managers, mentor engineers, and contribute to AI/LLM-enabled workflows.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and build mission-critical data services for TRM’s data product stack.
•Architect intricate data models to optimize storage and enable sub-second latency for blockchain data queries.
•Collaborate with data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers to translate user needs into scalable data solutions.
•Write clear design docs and communicate tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•Mentor engineers and analysts, helping elevate the data engineering capability across the team.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field.
•5+ years of hands-on experience in architecting scalable API development and distributed system architecture.
•Excellent Python programming skills and SQL or SparkSQL experience.
•Experience with data stores such as BigQuery and Postgres; ownership of 0–1 systems (pipelines, data platforms, ML/BI workflows) from scratch.
•Proficiency with data pipeline/workflow tools like Airflow and DBT; familiarity with Dataflow, Spark, Kafka, Flink; cloud infrastructure tools (Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, Datadog).
