Key Responsibilities

  • •Support sustaining engineering for the hardware infrastructure of the DigitalOcean server fleet.
  • •Support server hardware, cabling, and networking hardware throughout the operational lifecycle.
  • •Monitor the #machines channel and MACHINES JIRA project and drive issues to resolution.
  • •Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and act as Tier 2 escalation for datacenter and cloud operations regarding hardware and firmware.
  • •Develop standards and practices for hardware operations and help build tooling/runbooks; coordinate with ops teams on monitoring, thresholds, failure modes, and alerting.

Key Requirements
