Key Responsibilities

  • •Use technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders; track machine service intervals and diagnose root causes using data from multiple equipment models.
  • •Practice safe job practices for repairing and maintaining pump, power, and HVAC equipment.
  • •Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and at customer locations, and handle necessary repairs.
  • •When required, travel to customer job sites to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors.
  • •Maintain complete daily electronic/paperwork documentation (work orders) and assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts; help train lower-level technicians as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Must own tools applicable to the position and demonstrate advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
  • •Experience with power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • •Ability to calculate nominal/effective tonnage or kW requirements and read/know schematics.
  • •Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • •Must have a valid driver’s license (acceptable driving record); Trade school certificate preferred; EPA 608 certification preferred (obtainable within 6–12 months).
