Job Summary

Build and maintain satellite software models and hardware interface software for real-time system-level simulators and emulators. Lead full life-cycle development—requirements, architecture, design, coding, unit/integration testing, documentation, and formal qualification—while integrating spacecraft models into emulator infrastructures. Collaborate on software and hardware integration and support testbed hardware teams, providing end-user support for simulation operation, performance, test, delivery, and maintenance in an agile CI/CD environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Execute full life-cycle development for software-based simulators, including requirements, architecture, design, coding, unit test, integration, documentation, and formal qualification.
•Design, implement, integrate, test, and debug spacecraft software models and/or interface software into real-time simulations.
•Support software and hardware integration efforts across simulation projects.
•Produce and deliver design and test documentation artifacts, including program CDRLs.
•Collaborate with and support Special Test Equipment (STE) testbed hardware teams and provide end-user support for simulation operation and maintenance.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or higher.
•3+ years of experience with real-time/near real-time simulations packages and development.
•3+ years of experience with modern programming and scripting languages including C++, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, or Visual Basic.
•Experience automating software builds and unit/integration tests using a DevOps tool chain (preferred).
•Experience using GitLab and Bitbucket and working in an Agile/Scrum team (preferred).
