Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment systems including electrical, brake, cooling, steering, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, clutches, differentials, and related components.
  • •Inspect, test, and evaluate defective equipment using tools and instruments; road test vehicles to confirm proper operation.
  • •Maintain and operate the company-issued service vehicle with safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections; manage parts inventory and equipment and reconcile as needed.
  • •Document work by completing DOT and repair order forms, uploading pictures of work/parts/findings using an iOS device and the TRAIT application; communicate with management for approvals and purchase order information.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination of education/certification and experience).
  • •Possess and supply required hand tools to perform job duties.
  • •Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • •Obtain ASE 608/609 certification within 18 months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current DOT medical card with sufficient validity), and hold a valid driver’s license; candidates must be at least 21 years or older.
