Job Summary

Deliver transport engineering and traffic engineering solutions across planning, design, and delivery projects. Develop traffic signal design for new intersections and upgrades, apply safe systems principles for road safety, and support multi-modal transport planning. Use transport and traffic modelling (including SIDRA) to assess movements and advise clients. Work across multidisciplinary teams and engage directly with clients, supporting projects at a range of scales.

Key Responsibilities

•Apply transport engineering and traffic engineering standards and guidelines across planning and design activities, including developing innovative solutions for real-world challenges.
•Produce traffic signal designs for new intersections and upgrades of existing intersections using relevant design standards.
•Apply safe systems principles to develop safer environments for all road users.
•Support transport planning for the movement of people across modes and across a range of projects.
•Use transport operational modelling to assess movement implications and advise clients accordingly.

Key Requirements

•Demonstrate strong experience applying local traffic engineering standards and guidelines in transport planning and design for programs and projects at a variety of scales.
•Experience in project management and working directly with clients.
•Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver strong outcomes for clients.
•Traffic signal design experience in NSW.
•Transport and traffic modelling experience using modelling platforms like SIDRA.
