Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, implement, and optimize Elasticsearch core storage engine and query engine components.
  • •Lead architectural evolution of storage engine components and continuously resolve performance bottlenecks in indexing layouts, serialization formats, and resource utilization.
  • •Lead cross-organizational initiatives to build observability solutions for logs and metrics capabilities.
  • •Drive operational and system improvements by applying clean coding standards and untangling complex system behaviors across the platform.
  • •Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor/advise the wider engineering organization while triaging and resolving issues and pull requests.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience building high-performance, scalable database, search, or distributed systems with a strong focus on storage, indexing, query execution, and performance optimization.

  • •Experience implementing novel techniques to efficiently index, store, and query time-series or logs data.
  • •Experience with one or more data storage technologies such as Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Prometheus.
