Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and undertake 1D-2D hydraulic modelling commissions to assess fluvial, surface water and tidal flooding.
  • •Undertake other technical work including Flood Risk Assessments, hydrological assessments, flood defence design, strategic flood risk assessments, SUDS design and environmental statements.
  • •Undertake quality assurance of technical work within your area of expertise.
  • •Nurture and develop graduate team members and junior colleagues.
  • •Take a proactive approach to managing client relationships, clarifying expectations and success criteria to meet requirements and deliver successful projects.

Key Requirements

  • •Undergraduate degree (2:1 or above) in Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
  • •Extensive practical experience in 1D and 2D hydraulic modelling within water consulting, including Flood Modeller Pro, TUFLOW and InfoWorks ICM.
  • •Extensive experience in GIS software including QGIS, ArcGIS and MapInfo.
  • •Extensive experience in production of hydraulic modelling reporting deliverables and leading successful flood risk/water management projects.
  • •Experience in Quality Assurance reviews of hydraulic models and reporting; ability to mentor junior team members and deliver tenders/proposals.
