Job Summary

Perform prescribed service work for residential and customer requests, including connections, disconnections, meter reading, and installing/programming Wireless Meter Reading (WMR) equipment. Inform customers of needed repairs, support collections on delinquent accounts, and maintain accurate records for Company and regulatory requirements. Work both independently and as part of a team, including standby/on-call duties, to respond to natural gas and other emergencies safely.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform basic prescribed service work, including connections and disconnections, as qualified.
•Install, program, and operate Wireless Meter Reading (WMR) equipment as necessary.
•Inform customers of needed repairs, answer basic questions, and ensure customer satisfaction with completed work.
•Assist with natural gas and other emergency responsiveness, including possible standby and extended-hours callouts.
•Maintain accurate records and reports to meet Company and regulatory requirements, and identify/report safety and encroachment issues.

Key Requirements

•Requires a high school diploma or GED.
•Must have a valid driver’s license per Company standards.
•Complete assigned classes, Operator Qualifications (OQ) and OJT for the Service Learning Path, and maintain required OQs and training.
•Ability to use the Company’s internet/intranet for data entry, reference, and retrieval.
•Ability to communicate with internal/external customers to provide basic factual information.
