Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on required routes while obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Manually maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Load and unload goods/materials using specialized equipment when needed; arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimal loading patterns.
  • •Maintain required delivery paperwork (invoices and bills of lading) and perform routine service checks, reporting maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a valid Class A CDL (or chauffeur’s license depending on state) appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old and have a clean driving record.
  • •Must pass DOT physical and background and drug testing per federal/state DOT regulations, including a 10-panel drug screen for this safety-sensitive role.
  • •Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds and remain seated for prolonged periods in a trailer cab.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with professional, courteous communication at delivery points.
