Key Responsibilities

  • •Architect the next-generation, AI-driven search engine, integrating neural search on top of the Elasticsearch platform
  • •Build for hyperscale by modernizing real-time data ingestion systems using Kafka and Flink to handle millions of updates
  • •Develop core platform capabilities enabling teams to build rich, personalized discovery experiences
  • •Lead platform-wide infrastructure projects, including multilingual search index consolidation and migration of core services
  • •Ensure system readiness and reliability for high-traffic events like Cyber Week

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive experience building large-scale search engines, preferably in e-commerce; strong background with Elasticsearch (or Lucene/OpenSearch/Solr)
  • •Real-time data pipelines experience using Kafka and/or Flink or similar stream-processing frameworks
  • •Proficiency in a JVM language (Java, Kotlin, or Scala) and deep understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and performance optimization
  • •Strong collaboration and communication skills to translate complex product requirements into reusable platform capabilities
  • •Experience with designing AI-assisted features and integrating neural search on top of existing search infrastructure
