Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage end-to-end drafting, negotiation, and execution of B2B commercial agreements for advertising, consumer products, and marketing/brand partnerships in SEA.
  • •Provide legal support to the advertising business, including drafting and negotiating agreements with advertising agencies, advertisers, measurement partners, and third-party service providers.
  • •Advise advertising, consumer products, and marketing partnership teams on deal structures, risk allocation, rights, approvals, sponsorship structures, and new ad products.
  • •Guide SEA advertising regulatory compliance, including consumer protection, fair labeling, promotions, and industry standards, and translate requirements into actionable recommendations.
  • •Advise on IP usage rights, restrictions, and approvals for Netflix IP portfolio assets (trademarks, logos, content clips, talent likeness, brand assets) and support contracting process improvements.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of relevant legal experience in-house and/or at a leading law firm, with hands-on support for advertising, intellectual property licensing, and brand/marketing partnership transactions.
  • •Proven ability to draft, negotiate, and manage complex B2B commercial agreements across advertising, sponsorship, marketing, and consumer products, with a bar membership in good standing in at least one jurisdiction.
  • •Strong understanding of advertising regulations and industry standards, with the ability to advise on compliance in a business-enabling way.
  • •Working knowledge of intellectual property rights (trademarks, copyrights, and brand usage) and experience advising on usage rights, restrictions, and approvals in commercial/marketing contexts.
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong collaboration and the ability to translate complex legal and regulatory issues into practical advice for stakeholders.
