Job Summary

Own external financial reporting and equity accounting as we scale, leading SEC reporting and equity-related disclosures. Drive stock-based compensation accounting, equity reconciliations, EPS and dilution calculations, and SOX controls. Partner across Payroll, Legal, and Stock Administration to align cap table, equity systems, and the general ledger. Lead Workiva (or similar) implementation to automate workflows and support a public-company-ready finance organization.

Key Responsibilities

•Own stock-based compensation accounting, equity reconciliations, EPS and dilution calculations, and equity-related SEC disclosures.
•Lead the preparation and filing of Forms 10-Q and 10-K, financial statement footnotes, MD&A, and XBRL tagging.
•Serve as the primary accounting partner for external auditors and maintain SOX controls while evaluating new standards and SEC requirements.
•Partner with Payroll, Legal, and Stock Administration to ensure accurate recording of equity transactions and alignment between cap table, equity systems, and the general ledger.
•Lead the selection, implementation, and optimization of Workiva (or similar) to build scalable reporting workflows and automate manual processes.

Key Requirements

•CPA required (or actively pursuing).
•10+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant SEC reporting exposure (public company or Big 4/SEC clients).
•Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and XBRL.
•Hands-on experience with equity accounting including stock-based compensation, EPS, and APIC roll-forwards.
•Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite).
