Job Summary

Join the Refined Products and Crude (RPC) Financial Reporting team to help ensure accurate, complete financial results. You’ll prepare journal entries and intercompany eliminations, perform account reconciliations, analyze financial results and variances, and support the monthly close by investigating issues with finance, accounting, and commercial teams. The role also involves audit and reporting support, building spreadsheet models, and improving processes while following GAAP and company accounting policies.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare journal entries, reports, budgets, and records related to financial accounting and related activities.
•Complete intercompany eliminations and perform account reconciliations.
•Analyze financial results and assist with variance analysis during the monthly close.
•Support audit requests, reporting needs, and special projects with finance, accounting, and commercial teams.
•Develop and maintain spreadsheet models/distributed applications and identify opportunities to improve processes in compliance with GAAP and company policies.

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 68,000 - 102,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (or related) with prior experience in accounting functions, or an equivalent education/experience combination.
•Experience with generally accepted accounting methods and procedures.
•Experience performing intermediate-level accounting activities such as financial accounting, property accounting, account classification, or gas accounting.
•Experience researching, composing, reconciling, and preparing reports, invoices, and correspondence related to the role.
•Knowledge of financial accounting and reporting standards/processes, plus the ability to apply math, algebra, and statistical methods.
