Job Summary

Seeking an Airside Civil Engineer to lead planning, design, and delivery of airport civil projects from Mississauga. You will oversee civil design and construction, review submittals, ensure FAP compliance, evaluate technical proposals, and coordinate with architectural and other engineering disciplines to deliver cohesive, code-compliant airport infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide expert guidance throughout planning, design, and delivery phases with a focus on civil design and construction; ensure compliance with codes, standards, and technical requirements.
•Oversee civil design and construction activities, including review of designs, submittals, and testing procedures to align with project specifications.
•Conduct Facility Alteration Permit (FAP) compliance reviews for renovations, alterations, maintenance, and new construction.
•Evaluate alternative technical proposals from contractors, assess feasibility, and provide recommendations.
•Coordinate civil and structural engineering components, manage cross-disciplinary integration, and deliver progress reports on status and issues.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 81,702.24 - 131,702.24 annually

Key Requirements

•University Degree in Civil Engineering with 4 years of experience in civil/site development/construction/airport engineering applying unique engineering principles in airfield pavement structural design.
•Preferred: Over 7 years of experience in civil/site development, construction, and airport engineering with focus on airfield pavement structural design.
•Preferred: Relevant professional designation is considered an asset.
•Proven experience applying Canadian aerodrome standards (TP312 4th and 5th editions), ICAO, and FAA to support design reviews and engineering solutions.
•Hands-on experience with MicroStation CAD, Bentley InRoads/OpenRoads Designer 3D modeling, AviPLAN and AutoTURN; Bluebeam; Microsoft Office Suite.
