Job Summary

Design and develop the Developer Platform that powers Dialpad’s integration ecosystem. Own core components across backend public APIs, event frameworks, frontend plug-in frameworks, and client libraries. Translate developer workflows into scalable solutions with product and engineering partners, help set 6–12 month technical direction, and handle testing/monitoring in production while mentoring engineers through reviews and support.

•Contribute to the long-term technical direction and architecture of the developer platform.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 168,000 - 194,250

Key Requirements

•Professional experience designing, launching, and maintaining scalable backend or full-stack platform systems.
•Strong proficiency in Python or JavaScript, building APIs, webhooks, and distributed systems.
•Familiarity with platform concepts including OAuth, permission models, rate limits, and event delivery.
•Pragmatic approach to testing, debugging, and troubleshooting production systems in an Agile environment.
•Ability to drive technical design, mentor engineers, and clearly explain trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
