Senior Thermal Engineer responsible for detailed thermal analyses across product lifecycles, from design trade studies to production support, using hand calculations and finite element tools, and leading analysis/test activities in an onsite Tucson, AZ environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform hand calculations to scope higher-detail analysis models and conduct detailed thermal analyses to address program challenges
•Generate test plans to validate analyses and verify hardware against customer requirements
•Analyze test data to validate and correlate models and support production
•Review work with peers to ensure technical accuracy and present results to internal, external, and government customers
•Act as a technical leader or lead analysis/test teams and help refine MA&T department processes and tools

Salary: 86,800 - 165,200 annually

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
•Experience in thermal analysis with ANSYS, PATRAN, Thermal Desktop or SINDA (or equivalent)
•Experience applying mechanical principles to thermal analysis and ability to work independently
•Demonstrated experience in thermal testing: planning, execution, data reduction and correlation
•Ability to obtain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility
