Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, maintain, and improve mechanical, electrical, and structural systems for safe and efficient facility operations.
  • •Ensure equipment/systems meet company standards, including food processing equipment, building maintenance, refrigeration systems, and food safety processes.
  • •Create and manage maintenance, refrigeration, wastewater, and capital project budgets and operate within those budgets.
  • •Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management for ammonia refrigeration and local/state/federal wastewater pretreatment regulations.
  • •Direct and perform maintenance operations, collaborate with other facilities/departments, and coach/mentor maintenance associates to complete projects on schedule and within budget.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or vocational/trade school preferred.
  • •Three to five years of plant engineering experience in a food manufacturing plant.
  • •Experience managing projects and negotiating with outside contractors and vendors.
  • •Experience with CMMS (work orders and preventive maintenance), parts procurement, and related systems/processes.
  • •Technical/supervisory experience across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic/hydraulic, instrumentation, automation, and computer fields including PLCs and refrigeration/utilities.
