Mortgage Underwriter

Review and underwrite Conventional and FHA mortgage applications for SoFi’s Mortgage Operations team, using investor/GSE guidelines and independent credit judgment. Analyze complex borrower credit, income (including self-employed), assets, and collateral, run Schedule L liquidity tests, and make timely compliant decisions. Manage a high-volume pipeline balancing quality control and production SLAs, partner with processors and loan officers, and escalate fraud risk or guideline exceptions while improving processes.
