Job Summary

Deliver and install John Lewis products in customers’ homes as part of a two-person delivery crew, driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle from the Crossways Customer Delivery Hub. Provide excellent customer service, coach and assess delivery drivers, and handle installations efficiently while maintaining a safe working environment. You’ll also stay current with new products and technologies and may receive evening and night premium pay for late shifts.

Key Responsibilities

•Start at the delivery hub and head out on a route to deliver and install products in customers’ homes.
•Serve as a John Lewis ambassador with customer service as the number one priority, demonstrating respect and courtesy in customer homes.
•Coach, develop, and assess delivery driver colleagues, giving them knowledge for home installations and service.
•Help load the lorry with the day’s deliveries in line with the warehouse team and handle unexpected situations to find the best solution.
•Install products efficiently and quickly, demonstrate how they work once installed, maintain safety, and keep up to date with new products and technologies.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 34,500 - 46,500 annually

Schedule:4-Day Week

Key Requirements

•Previous experience of installation, with installer accreditation support provided to top up your knowledge.
•Manual C1 UK driving licence (maximum of 6 points) and previous experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
•DCPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) or Drivers Qualification Card by day one, plus a Tachograph Card.
•Previous experience in a customer-facing role and great verbal communication skills over the phone and in person.
•Good understanding of technology.
