Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor daily field operations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations and company policies
  • •Perform regular tunnel and surface inspections, including pre-shift walkthroughs, equipment checks, air quality sampling, and confined space protocols
  • •Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective/preventative action implementation
  • •Conduct job hazard analyses (JHAs), risk assessments, and toolbox talks with crews
  • •Maintain EHS documentation, training records, and regulatory reports

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of experience in construction or heavy industrial EHS roles - tunneling, mining, or oil & gas preferred
  • •Strong working knowledge of OSHA, MSHA (preferred), confined space, LOTO, and respiratory protection standards
  • •Experience conducting field audits and writing JHAs, incident reports, and environmental compliance documentation
  • •Comfortable working in underground environments and around heavy equipment
  • •CSP, CHST, or equivalent certification is a plus
