Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections with follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair complex truck systems including electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions; road test vehicles as needed.
  • •Manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Document repair work and DOT forms using the company standards and upload photos of work performed and findings via the iOS device and TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination such as 3 years with additional certification/degree, or 7 years in a related field).
  • •At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Must possess and supply required hand tools.
  • •Must successfully complete DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
  • •Obtain required certifications within 18 months: ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE 608/609.
