Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop conceptual designs for electrical distribution systems across EHV, HV, MV to Low Voltage, including generation, UPS, switchgear, and monitoring systems.
  • •Lead the design of data centre electrical systems and equipment, including producing design development notes.
  • •Produce technical specifications and calculations, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client requirements.
  • •Provide written reports of system options and prepare technical/equipment documentation for tender.
  • •Coordinate with other disciplines (architect and structural engineers) and monitor installation for compliance with design specifications and safety codes.

Key Requirements

  • •Chartered status with CIBSE or IET (or working towards Chartered status) or equivalent experience.
  • •Technical knowledge of relevant UK and EU regulations and design guides.
  • •IT literacy with technical understanding of relevant packages, including Trimble (formerly Amtech).
  • •Understanding of ETAP software for HV modelling (fault current, current flow & harmonics).
  • •Working knowledge of RevitMEP (or other 3D design software) and AutoCAD for project work allocation/direction.
