Key Responsibilities

  • •Define the vision and roadmap for a multi-surface reporting system across in-app reporting, dashboards, scheduled delivery, exports, APIs/connectors, embedded partner surfaces, and AI/agent experiences.
  • •Build deep empathy for diverse customer reporting workflows and translate trust thresholds and AI readiness levels into product priorities.
  • •Own payroll-grade reporting foundations, including standard reports, configurable report building, GL/journal exports, variance reporting, reconciliation, definitions, permissions, lineage, auditability, and observability.
  • •Develop intelligent insights experiences using AI, anomaly detection, driver analysis, and proactive recommendations with explainable, source-backed, compliant outputs.
  • •Collaborate across Data, Engineering, Design, Security, Legal, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Operations, and partners and measure impact via KPIs for adoption, trust, accuracy, and usage.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven product management experience with a focus on reporting, analytics, data platforms, workflow, or insights products.
  • •Proficiency with Cursor and/or Claude Code, including the ability to autonomously build, debug, and ship code and prototypes.
  • •Strong end-to-end data literacy across schemas/models, lineage, and report generation, including grain/joins/aggregations and common pitfalls.
  • •Ability to read/write SQL to validate results, investigate discrepancies, and ensure metrics are trustworthy.
  • •Deep customer empathy and strong written/verbal communication to explain complex data, reporting, AI, and compliance trade-offs.
