Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the HBCN China Country Audit Team and lead general audit activities across Corporate & Institutional Banking businesses.
  • •Plan, participate in, or lead individual audits, ensuring scope, approach, resourcing, logistics, and execution meet internal methodology and timelines.
  • •Draft audit findings based on fieldwork, articulating key issues and risks and aligning with business management on root causes and remediation plans.
  • •Identify control weaknesses and opportunities for improvement in audited business activities/processes.
  • •Maintain consistent interactions with business stakeholders and ensure audit/ad-hoc results meet expectations while maintaining internal control standards and compliance policy awareness.

Key Requirements

  • •Prior experience in financial services, with relevant auditing experience and exposure to CIB banking businesses and/or other second-line risk and control functions.
  • •Minimum bachelor’s degree in business management, accounting, finance-related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • •Strong understanding of banking industry, especially CIB banking businesses of commercial banks.
  • •Good knowledge of HSBC/Group businesses and the regulatory landscape they operate in.
  • •Good managerial, analytical, and communication skills, with strong team commitment.
