Job Summary

Lead and grow the CGEM geotechnical practice in the Atlanta area, overseeing projects across power, commercial, transportation, and water markets. Provide senior technical leadership, mentor staff, manage client relationships, and guide business development, while delivering high-quality geotechnical design and construction support and ensuring safety and QA/QC. Collaborate across lines, stay current on techniques, and guide budgets and schedules to ensure profitable, compliant projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide leadership and expertise for a growing ground engineering practice.
•Lead geotechnical engineering projects, manage project budgets and schedules, and oversee subcontractors to ensure QA/QC and compliance.
•Mentor staff to support growth and professional development and provide performance guidance.
•Meet with client representatives to discuss issues related to engineering and construction challenges and programs.
•Collaborate across business lines to develop and support opportunities and projects with ground engineering components.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus, or closely related discipline
•12+ years of relevant post education experience
•Professional engineering license in Georgia, or ability to become licensed in Georgia in six months
•Advanced proficiency with geotechnical engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, standard of care, and the application to project work-related issues
•Proficiency with technical writing, office automation, discipline-specific design software, technology, math principles, predictive models, spreadsheets, and tools
