Originate and execute Community Development Loans focused on LIHTC affordable housing deals, driving profitable business development within an assigned geography. Build relationships with developers and internal partners, ensure proper documentation and reporting, and stay current on tax-credit regulations and market trends while attending industry forums and community events.

Key Responsibilities

•Originate Community Development Loans primarily for LIHTC affordable housing developments and execute the bank’s CDL strategy.
•Develop and maintain client relationships and qualify prospects to grow new business opportunities from customers and existing relationships.
•Produce and maintain profitable community development loan volume, including cross-sell and return generation.
•Underwrite credit requests, approve loans within lending limits, and monitor ongoing customer/industry performance to assess acceptable risk.
•Ensure proper reporting and documentation, and manage client-facing activities with credit support and partner product areas.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 96,500 - 207,500 annually

Key Requirements

•Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred.
•5+ years of experience in banking, finance, or a related field.
•2+ years of Community Development Real Estate Lending experience; strong understanding of LIHTC and NMTC programs.
•Formalized commercial credit training or equivalent credit experience; ability to structure complex financial situations using tax credits and incentives in the capital stack.
•Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, negotiation, and analytical skills; demonstrated sales and negotiation experience.
